The Play-dough mats can be used in many different ways: with plastic tangram pieces, plastic buttons,  cookie cutters, etc. I've purchased my plastic tangram set at enasco.com.

Plastic Tangram Pieces & Buttons

First make a tangram giraffe with all seven pieces. 

Then add details like flowers, people or a sun with buttons.

Play-doh & Buttons

First give the giraffe his spots with play-doh.

Then decorate the giraffe with play-doh shapes made with cookie cutters.

Finally add more details with plastic buttons.
